OVERVIEW

In  the fall of 2017, Hurricane Harvey brought death and devastation to the Houston area as one of the worst storms in U.S. history. The need for continued relief efforts is high. In the Bible, Jesus calls people to love their neighbor, and that’s exactly what we’ll be doing as we head down to the Houston area to partner with Battle Cry Ministries and their hurricane relief efforts. We’ll be joining our sister churches  from the University of Texas Austin, the University of North Texas, and Illinois State University, to assist homeowners with demo, mold remediation, construction prep, and build back. Basically, we will be helping people move from demo to doorknobs.

WHO CAN GO

This trip is open to all college students from CMU, and any other college students from the Pittsburgh area who have this week off for spring break. You do not have consider yourself a Christian or be a part of h2o Church to join us for this trip. All are welcome.

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE WITH CONSTRUCTION

No, there is a need for a lot of help in a lot of areas. Anyone with any skill set will be a vital part of the relief strategy. If you don't have construction skills but want to help in the field, Battle Cry is ready and willing to do some on-the-job training.
